And now for a two film review:
Black Swan
Directed by Darren Aronofsky
2010/2011
*Starring: Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Winona Ryder (and many more)
From ballet classic, to a drama / thriller. This film is unlike any other, as a dancer becomes what she dreams. As the lead: playing the Swan Queen defying everything in her path, and even her own existence. Considering a mixed cast of diverse actors, it does not slow down. There is always music in the background, making the world come to life. Whether it’s the orchestration, or even club beats, the world of Swan Lake is thriving taking its characters with it.
Taking a unique spin, Black Swan is definitely a film worth watching. But take heed, it is not for kids eyes to view. Adults only please.
The Sitter
2011/2012
Comedy / Drama / Contains lots of peanuts
Take Jonah Hill, give the guy a job watching a trio of kids, mix and repeat. Oh and lots of laughs (with adult humor of course). Not a film for kids, but turns out that “The Sitter” learns some lessons, and shares some wisdom. Its tough to describe because it covers all sorts of uncharted territory that few comedies ever pull off. Oh, and there’s a ton of cameos! Some play good guys, gals and villains.
The trifecta of trouble is something else. And it might even bring a smile to your face
