Batman - Odyssey

Written and Artworks by the classic Neal Adams

"The Odyssey" by Homer was known in classic literature as a journey of a man's self discovery. Upon learning of his true identity and purpose, do they come to know what their destiny of fulfillment truly awaits them upon their return. Like that tale, Batman (or as Bruce Wayne) also faced some odd challenges in his early days. Batman - Odyssey is one of those tales that takes a journey very few readers ever had a chance to indulge within.

As the "Caped Crusader", there are many levels of working out the "how, what, where, when, and why". However noble the cause, Bruce is still human, capable of failing, or getting injured. It is those elements that makes Batman as a character stand out from the superhuman led Justice League. On those levels alone, we learn that as Batman he takes things way too  seriously, by now readers simply enjoyed the journey. But do we really know who Batman is as a hero?

Throughout the book, Bruce is speaking with another individual (it is not revealed for quite some time who exactly it is). From Batman's past, present, and future collide as his unknown quest features allies, and enemies from his ongoing quest to battle crime. **And Deadman also joins in to help aid the Detective in his most desperate hours!

I cannot put the words together just how vast, and unique this tale is. For anyone who enjoys storytelling needs to buy this book, it is totally worthwhile of being in anyone's collection.

Be sure to check out Neal's website in regards to more tales of how this book came to be.
